The True Nature of Orcs
Book detailing the Orsimer race and their origin

I would not be a diligent archivist if I did not include all aspects of a given subject. After a recent posting of The Pig Children, I have been asked by members of the Orsimer Reconciliation Committee to post this more accurate depiction of their race and history as a counterpoint to the racist diatribe penned by Tyston Bane.

Details the presence of humans in Tamriel prior to the original Nordic conquests thought to bring humans to Tamriel

Fall of the Snow Prince
by Lokheim
An account of the Battle of the Moesring as transcribed by Lokheim, chronicler to the chieftain Ingjaldr White-Eye

When the Snow Prince came, he filled the embattled warriors with fear and awe. So great were his deeds during the Battle of the Moesring, that he remains to this day the only non-Nord champion given a heroes burial by the Nord chieftains. Regardless of you parentage Dragonborn, this is a warrior worth emulating.

The Rise and Fall of Saint Jiub the Eradicator Hero of Morrowind and Savior of the Dunmer
by Jiub
Saint Jiub the Eradicator of the Winged Menace recounts his rise to glory

One imagines that a man who writes a twenty-six volume biography has a certain, shall we say, pride in himself. None the less, history seems to bear out the claims Jiub makes here. It is a rousing tale of combat, and should amuse the more martial Dragonborn among you.

The Night Mother’s Truth

Night Mother

The Night Mother’s Truth
by Gaston Bellefort
A thesis on the Dark Brotherhood and its spiritual leader

The Night Mother (also known as the Blood Flower or the Lady Death) is the bride of Sithis, the Dread Father of the Dark Brotherhood. Those who wish to have someone assassinated pray to the Night Mother by performing the Black Sacrament, and she extends their requests to her Listener, who in turn passes the task on to the Speakers. It is debatable whether she was a real person or if she is the Lucky Old Lady of Bravil. Our knowledgeable author, Gaston, is convinced of the former and has set down here what he believes to be her true biography.

There Be Dragons
by Torhal Bjorik
A report on the nature of dragons

While the existence of dragons will come as no surprise to the Dovahkiin, it may be useful to spend some time learning of their lore and features before blindly venturing out into the wilds of Skyrim to hunt them and consume their souls. Just saying…

The Pig Children

The_Pig_Children

The Pig Children
by Tyston Bane
Discusses the history of the Orcish threat in the Iliac Bay

“Is there any creature more destructive, malicious, and downright detestable than an Orc? Through the eras, and across all of Tamriel, they have been an ever-present scourge, forever tearing down the good works of the civilized races.” ~Tyston Bane, overheard in the Bannered Mare after a night of mead

The Orc of Tamriel, or more properly the Orsimer, have faced this kind of slander and discrimination for as long as history itself. While their ferocity is a matter of record, fairer minds also praise their finely crafted heavy armors, outstanding service in the Imperial Legion, and highly upheld code of honor. We leave it to the Dragonborn to form their own opinion of them.
