This story regards the trials that a Snow Elf would have to face if he wanted to reach The Chantry of Auri-El. The Elves would have had to travel to different Wayshrines with an urn which they would fill with water at each shrine. According to this text, it was an incredibly difficult journey. The Dragonborn must take this journey to obtain Auriel’s Bow during the Dawnguard DLC.
