Biography of Queen Barenziah
Volume One
by Stern Gamboge, Imperial Scribe
A factual biography of Queen Barenziah, Volume 1

One should always be suspicious of books that assert their factual nature in the title. Especially those written by the victors. Enough to say that these volumes serve as an excellent chronology of the major events of Barenziah’s life. In this first volume, we learn of her capture by the Empire, the course of her youth, and her eventual escape.

Galerion The Mystic
by Asgrim Kolsgreg
A biography of Galerion, a Psijic who founded the Mages Guild

Vanus Galerion, born as Trechtus, was an Altmer mage of the Psijic Order during the Second Era. He founded the Mages Guild in response of the growing influence of the necromancer Mannimarco on the continent of Tamriel and the failure of his former Order to act against the threat. He and his followers eventually defeated Mannimarco’s necromancer army. Galerion died in this last great battle.

This book is the tale of his beginnings. From learning literacy behind the back of a tyrannical lord, to encountering those that would eventually lead him to the Psijic Order.

The Rise and Fall of Saint Jiub the Eradicator Hero of Morrowind and Savior of the Dunmer
by Jiub
Saint Jiub the Eradicator of the Winged Menace recounts his rise to glory

One imagines that a man who writes a twenty-six volume biography has a certain, shall we say, pride in himself. None the less, history seems to bear out the claims Jiub makes here. It is a rousing tale of combat, and should amuse the more martial Dragonborn among you.

The Night Mother’s Truth

Night Mother

The Night Mother’s Truth
by Gaston Bellefort
A thesis on the Dark Brotherhood and its spiritual leader

The Night Mother (also known as the Blood Flower or the Lady Death) is the bride of Sithis, the Dread Father of the Dark Brotherhood. Those who wish to have someone assassinated pray to the Night Mother by performing the Black Sacrament, and she extends their requests to her Listener, who in turn passes the task on to the Speakers. It is debatable whether she was a real person or if she is the Lucky Old Lady of Bravil. Our knowledgeable author, Gaston, is convinced of the former and has set down here what he believes to be her true biography.

The Madness of Pelagius is a short biography of one of Tamriel’s most well known Emperor’s, written by Tsathenes. As you will intuit from the title, it is largely a comment his descent into madness, rather than a history of his life and important acts.

The tome can be found by the Dragonborn in Dragonsreach Jarl’s Quarters, on a shelf in Proventus Avenicci’s room. Players with the Dawnguard DLC can also find it in Volkihar Keep, on a wall shelf in the upstairs section of Harkon’s quarters.
